New SKUD 18 Committee Established

The SKUD 18 Committee has now been established.

Members nominated by SKUD owners are….

Scott Whitman USA (nominated by Mark Lewis).  Scott has been an active SKUD sailor since mid 2006.  Sailing with Julia Dorsett, Scott has posted wins at the Miami OCR and Qingdao International Regatta. 

Allan Smith GBR (nominated by Jackie Gay).  Allan started sailing SKUDs in the UK from August 2006 and has competed at several international events.  Allan was runner up to represent Great Britain at the 2008 Paralympics.

Dong Hai CHN (nominated by Jia Hailiang).  As Deputy Director of the Sport and Competition Department's Sailing Committee for BOCOG, Dong Hai was central to the success of the event where the SKUD 18 made its debut in Paralympic Sailing Competition.

Tim Dempsey NZL (nominated by Brendan Tourelle).  Tim was pivotal in getting the first SKUD 18 into New Zealand in 2008 and is now planning a campaign to represent his country in 2012.  Tim was also Chairman of the organising committee for the Inaugural Kiwi Cup this January.
