Italian Access Class Championships on Lake Garda - ITA

The inaugural Italian Access Class Championships get underway today at Circolo Vela Gargnano on Lake Garda with registration, practice racing and a welcome buffet dinner.

 

Competitive fleets are expected in the Access 303 two person, Liberty and SKUD 18 divisions with sailors from France, Switzerland and Australia boosting the local fleet.  Favourites in the SKUD 18 division will be Marco Gualandris and Marta Zanetti, Italy‚Äôs representatives for the Paralympic Sailing Competition.

 

Circolo Vela Gargnano is located in Bogliaco on the western shore of Lake Garda and was the venue for the 2011 Access Class European Championships.  The event continues until July 8.
